General Information

  • We’re located at 331 Main Street, Bennington, Vermont, right in the heart of downtown. Look for the red brick building with our classic marquee out front!

  • We present a wide variety of performances, including live theater, comedy nights, concerts, staged readings, and special community events throughout the year.

  • Bennington Theater has 135 seats, offering an intimate experience where every seat feels close to the stage.

    You can show your digital ticket on your phone. We also accept printed tickets.

  • Yes — our seating is reserved, so you can choose your seat when purchasing.

  • Yes.

    All reservations require payment at the time of booking.

  • All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable.

    ● Ticket exchanges for another performance of the same production may be made with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

  • A small processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.

  • Yes! We offer:

Arrival & Parking

Where can I park?

Free parking is available:

● On Main Street and nearby side streets

● In the municipal lot behind the theater Signs will help direct you.

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before showtime. The house typically opens 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Is the theater wheelchair accessible?

Yes — we offer accessible seating and a wheelchair-friendly entrance. Please call ahead so we can accommodate you comfortably.

Do you offer specific seating arrangements?

Yes — just call the Box Office before the show.

Information about Local Theaters in Vermont

Theater Etiquette & Policies

  • Yes!

    We offer snacks and drinks (including wine and beer) at our concession stand, open before the show and during intermission.

  • No outside food in the theater. You can bring food and concessions that were purchased in the lobby.

  • No.

    Cameras, audio or video recording devices, and cell phones are strictly prohibited during performances. As a courtesy to the cast and your fellow audience members, please silence all mobile devices before the performance begins.

  • No.

    Bennington Theater maintains a strict no-smoking policy, including e-cigarettes and vaping. Please extinguish all smoking materials before entering the building.

  • Items left at the theater will be held at the Box Office. Please call 802-500-5500 (ext. 103) to inquire about lost belongings.

  • In the unlikely event of an emergency, please follow the illuminated exit signs and calmly proceed to the nearest exit. The primary exit is located on Main Street, with additional exits at the northwest and southwest corners of the building. Theater staff will be on hand to assist.
