VSO Jukebox and Youth Quartet Concert—March 13

The VSO’s Jukebox Quartet will perform at the Bennington Performing Arts Center on March 13, joined by a talented youth string quartet from the Bennington area, who will start their performance at 3:30 p.m. Tickets start at $10 and are available on a sliding scale at www.vso.org.
Jukebox programs allow four outstanding members of the VSO a chance to strut their stuff with an eclectic mix of contemporary and classical repertoire presented in an informal format.
The March 13 concert will feature violinist Brooke Quiggins, cellist John Dunlop, and percussionists D. Thomas Toner and Nicola Cannizzaro for a singular musical experience, curated by VSO Artistic Advisor and Project Conductor Matt LaRocca.
The concert program will include:
- Opening from Glassworks by Philip Glass
- Duo for Violin and Cello by Jessie Montgomery
- Boris Kerner by Caroline Shaw
- Slide Rule by Jeanne Woodbury and Josh Gottry
- Hammers by Andy Akiho
Youth string quartet members include Ryan Keating, violin, Mira Boyer, violin, Sam Tucker-Smith, viola, and Caleb Lowe, cello.
